If you have kids this is great, just let them loose on the play area upstairs. Friendly staff and a decent selection of food.
So glad we found this place. The food was lovely and there was a small play area for the kids. Prices were reasonable, view was fantastic.

Friendly staff, but barman no idea about the choices of gin on offer. Super quick delivery of food (unnervingly so?) Ordered two big beast burgers. Was a bit of a problem for one to come without BBQ sauce. Also surprised that the "chicken fillet" in the big beast burger was reconstituted chicken in some kind of batter.....not as suggested, so wouldn't order again.
On holiday (for the 3rd time running) and decided to revisit the Boat House. The food is always prepared to a high standard, service is friendly (staff are always on hand to serve, look after you and have a chat). Good quality and very reasonably priced. The Boat House, also has an added bonus of a childrens play area, which is a rarity these days in bars/restaurants. Disabled friendly, on both floors! This is a definite place to visit in Dawlish Warren, whether to have a quiet drink or a decent meal, this place ticks ALL the boxes :) you can also bring your pet dog along too
