Nice place to walk and talk. Plenty of dog owners who clean up too.
fantastic place for my dog .But guys Dog mess - CLEAN IT UP !The country park is not a dogs toilet. !!! Just spent half an hour cleaning out the cleats in my walking boots YUK . There are plenty of poo bins and dog poo bags for sale at local shops. xx
The first thing to say is that this is Dawlish country park not Dawlish Warren as incorrectly named by Google. That aside this is a fantastic resource for walkers and dog lovers alike basically open field land where you and your dog can roam freely. The park is still developing with substantial planting which will come to fruition in years to come. There already exists a variety of areas of vegetation including areas of cultivation and next year should see a variety of wild flowers. Ample dog waste bins spread around the site so no excuse for not picking up after your dog however ignorant and lazy some people seem to be.
It's a car park with a walk around a field or two. The area it at the very early stages so one day it will be better. The views are very nice.
It's a pleasant large meadow which has somehow avoided being developed or farmed. The car park had a height barrier which rules it out as a lunch stop for motorhomes (which is a black mark for me) and for some bizarre reason bicycles are banned - it would otherwise be a pleasant cycle route to avoid the main road. What harm can someone on a bike do in a large field?
