Didn't actually visit the station but did visit the town. Dawlish is lovely. Very picturesque, traditional seaside town.
Lovely place to park near and take in the delights of Dawlish. Such a beautiful town with a river running through the middle. Very scenic. Good fish and chips here. Nice at night as well as in the day. The lights all come on creating a lovely place to wander round.
After a long walk all the way from Exmouth to help me unwind and enjoy the scenery, I would take the train station, as it's easy to use the train when at Dawlish or Teignmouth - even Starcross. (For Sidmouth, however, I'd take the bus.)Dawlish is a very nice holiday place, and the Warren has some attraction with the local park and arcades, plus its' own places to eat at.
